Philadelphia Independent Craft Market

Every year the holidays seem to surprise last-minute shoppers. Luckily, there’s still time for gift grabbers to find amazing local presents and enjoy a bit of cheer.

On Saturday, December 21, The Philadelphia Independent Craft Market’s 7th Annual Holiday Show returns with crafts, live music, food and beer for it’s biggest event yet.

From noon to 7 p.m., the Crane Arts Building will open its doors to celebrate the final weekend before Christmas. Dedicated to providing a space for visual and performing arts on both a local and national stage, the venue is well-suited to house the increasingly popular market, which is now in its seventh year.

More than 60 craft vendors will set up shop, peddling such handmade goods as jewelry, apparel, beauty products, antiques, prints, candles and much more.

Shoppers should peruse the tables of first time merchants and local fan favorites like Seam Poets, Stitch Prism, Adorned by Aisha, Wise Owl Shop and Old Blood.

The sounds of the season will also be in full swing, with several DJs playing a diverse blend of music throughout the day, with genres ranging from R&B and Motown to hypnotic melodies accompanied by live belly-dancers.

Free beer, courtesy of Philadelphia Brewing Company, will be available to accompany delicious culinary creations of popular food trucks Vernalicious, Foo & Jeffrey and Cupcake Carnivale.

Admission to the event is $2 at the door.

Grab some food, beer and last-minute goods and ring out this holiday season with a jingle.
